Cuby Smart Warranty

 

I. Terms and conditions of the warranty

Our products include a one (1) year warranty.

If the product shows failures attributable to manufacturing defects within the warranty period, we commit to repairing or replacing it.

Devices shipped abroad will have the same warranty coverage. However, any shipping costs associated with the process will be the customer’s responsibility.

 

II. Coverage

This warranty covers:

  • Repairs or replacements of the device (if necessary) during the warranty period, as long as the failure is due to a manufacturing defect.
  • If the device cannot be repaired and must be replaced, and it has been discontinued within the warranty period, it will be substituted with an equivalent model with similar features.

 

III. Conditions required for the warranty to be valid

    To ensure proper operation and prolong the product’s lifespan, the user must comply with the following conditions:

    • Relative humidity: The product must not be exposed to humidity levels higher than 90% for extended periods, as this may affect its performance and reliability.
    • Heat exposure: Avoid placing the product near heat sources (stoves, radiators, ovens, or other equipment that generates excessive heat).
    • Direct sunlight: Do not expose the product continuously to sunlight, as it may alter its operating temperature and damage internal components.

    Failure to comply with these conditions may reduce the device’s lifespan and void the warranty coverage.

     

    IV. Warranty exclusions

    The warranty will be void in any of the following cases:

    • Failure to comply with the operating conditions indicated in section III, which are necessary to ensure the correct operation and lifespan of the product.
    • Improper use or incorrect installation, including handling by unauthorized third parties or failure to follow the user manual.
    • Unauthorized alterations, modifications, or updates to the device’s hardware, software, and/or firmware.
    • Use of non-original or non-approved components, sensors, accessories, or consumables.
    • Exposure to external or extreme conditions, such as:
      • Excessive humidity, corrosive gases, fire, floods, pests, or harmful fauna.
      • Fires, electrical discharges, lightning, natural phenomena, or other environmental disasters.
      • Direct sunlight or prolonged heat exposure beyond the recommended specifications.
    • Physical damage caused by drops, impacts, mishandling, vibrations, improper use, unprotected transport, or any incident resulting in breakage or deterioration of the device.
    • External electrical issues, such as short circuits, faulty connections, overloads, voltage fluctuations, or failures in the electrical installation or the system where the device is connected.

    Note: The warranty does not cover installation or reinstallation services for the product, nor any additional expenses that may arise from its failure.

     

    V. Legal limitations

    • Cuby Smart is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, production loss, data loss, etc.
    • This warranty does not cover death or personal injury, fraud, or external negligence.
    • If any clause is declared invalid by an authority, the remaining clauses will remain in effect.

     

    VI. Validity

    The warranty is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

     

    VII. Warranty claim process

    Contact Cuby Smart through the following channels:

    Provide the following information:

    • Product serial number (legible and unaltered).
    • Proof of purchase (such as invoice, receipt, payment voucher, etc.).
    • A detailed description of the issue, accompanied by photos or videos as evidence.

     

    VII. Additional commitments

    Before processing the warranty, remote support will be provided to determine whether the issue can be resolved without replacing or repairing the device.

    If repair is required, we guarantee it will be completed within 30 business days.

    Any additional processes involving the installation or removal of the devices are the customer’s responsibility.

     

    IX. Additional cost

    • Any repair or replacement of the device due to manufacturing defects will be completely free during the warranty period.
    • Shipping costs to and from Cuby Smart’s service center will be covered by Cuby Smart for shipments within Mexico.
    • The device must be properly packed to avoid damage during transport.
    • If the warranty coverage limit has been reached, the customer may purchase a new device with a 50% discount on the current price at the time of purchase, plus shipping costs, which will be the customer’s responsibility.
      This benefit applies only to out-of-warranty products and is subject to availability. It is valid for up to 10 years from the original purchase date. After this period, the discount option will no longer be available.

     

    X. Legal provisions

    This warranty complies with the provisions established by the Federal Consumer Protection Law and other applicable regulations in Mexico. In case of a dispute, claims will be handled according to current legal procedures.
